1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Warband Companion, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Service Description

Warband Companion is a World of Warcraft guild management and progression tracking application. We provide:

Character and collection tracking
Guild management tools
Analytics and progression insights
Pro subscription features

3. Account Requirements

You must have a valid Battle.net account to use our service
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction)
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
One account per person - account sharing is not permitted

4. Subscription Terms

4.1 Subscription Tiers

We offer two subscription tiers:

Free: Basic features with manual sync
Pro ($4.99/month): Ad-free, hourly sync, analytics, CSV/JSON export, desktop app & addon sync
Guild ($14.99/month per guild): All Pro features + guild analytics, raid tools, cooldown planner, syncs every 15 minutes. Purchased per guild by the guild owner.

4.2 Billing and Payments

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
Payments are processed securely through Stripe
Prices are in USD and may vary by region due to currency conversion
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

4.3 Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
You will retain access to Pro features until the end of the paid period
No partial refunds for mid-month cancellations

4.4 Free Trial

New users may be eligible for a 7-day free trial of Guild tier features
Each user is limited to one free trial across all guilds
Your subscription will automatically begin at the end of the trial unless cancelled
You may cancel during the trial at no charge

5. Refund Policy

Refunds are available within 7 days of initial subscription purchase
Refunds for renewals are handled on a case-by-case basis
To request a refund, contact support with your subscription details
Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to the original payment method
Abuse of the refund policy may result in account termination

6. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
We are not responsible for downtime caused by Blizzard API outages
Pro features may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without explicit permission
Share your account credentials with others
Abuse our support system or harass our staff
Violate Blizzard Entertainment's Terms of Service

8. Intellectual Property

World of Warcraft® and Blizzard Entertainment® are trademarks or registered trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. in the U.S. and/or other countries.

Warband Companion is a fan-made site and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment®.

All game data, images, and content are provided by the official Blizzard Battle.net® API and remain the property of Blizzard Entertainment.

Mythic+ data is provided by Raider.IO. Raid data is provided by Warcraft Logs. Tooltips are powered by Wowhead. These third-party services retain all rights to their respective data and content.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Warband Companion shall not be liable for:

Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
Damages resulting from Blizzard API changes or outages
Unauthorized access to your account due to your negligence

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the past 12 months.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings
Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion
Subscription fees are non-refundable upon termination for violations

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

12. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at [email protected]. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days. If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, either party may then proceed with formal legal action as described in Section 11.

13. Inactive Accounts and Data Retention

To maintain data freshness and protect user privacy, we automatically purge game data (characters, collections, guild membership) for accounts that have not logged in for more than 6 months. Your account itself is not deleted — you can log in again at any time and your data will be re-synced from Battle.net.

Subscription records and payment history are retained regardless of account activity, as required for tax and accounting purposes.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
